Denver, I Love You.

Its not often that you find yourself with a week to explore Denver. We spent 6 nights and 7 days in the heart of Colorado with one simple mission: To see the best the city had to offer.

Every day seemed like a highlight yet every day got better and better. We started the weekend hiking to Ouzel Falls in Rocky Mountain National Park and cooking out with friends in Washington Park. We had an evening on the town including staying up far too late and tearing up the dance floor to 90s music. Lord knows I love a good dance floor!

The locals we met were just as impressive. We met a woman who survived a heart attack at age 31 and now fights to educate people about heart disease. Another woman who after working in finance for 10 years, chose to change paths in the middle of her MBA program and went to pastry school. One young boy with special needs shared his dreams of becoming a jockey and his love for horses despite his disabilities.

On our last day of filming we had a special group show up to film with us. Colony House is a band from Nashville traveling right now with NEEDTOBREATH and the TOUR DE COMPADRES. They played at the Red Rocks Amphitheater on Wednesday night and then played in our Airstream the next day. Cheers to sheer talent, live music and dinner out with the band to celebrate!

So thankful Caleb, Will, Scott, Parke and their tour manager, Riley, could stop by.

Stay tuned for a video of their live show coming soon! Denver, I LOVE YOU.

ps. If you didn't know, Caleb and Will from Colony House are Steven Curtis Chapman's sons!
