Wow. The time has come for my next adventure. For me, life is just a series of adventures. Some are great and some are small. I've had day long adventures exploring the city of Athens, week long adventures on family trips, month long adventures like traveling to India and even year long adventures like living in New York City. Each adventure holds a special place in my heart no matter how big or how small. Today, marks the beginning of my next adventure. Headed out to San Francisco for training as the assistant producer/spokesperson for the Mutual of Omaha Aha Moment Tour. My excitement is through the roof! But everytime I take a step back I realize how blessed I am to even have these adventures. God has completely provided for me every step of the way and He has truly gone above and beyond in giving me this opportunity. 20 cities. 3 months. 4 person crew. Traveling in an Airstream designed as a mobile television studio. We are traveling the country recording, sharing and celebrating the "Aha Moments" of people around the country. So what's an "aha moment?" Well, its a moment of clarity. It's when the lightbulb goes off and suddenly you know the next step. Its a moment of deep wisdom and understanding. These moments are the moments that change everything.
As I begin this grand adventure I am overjoyed that I get to be a little piece of someone's story. I've always been one to celebrate. I believe in the simple joys of life. I believe that flowers and sunshine and puppy dogs and laughter deserve celebration. Maybe its because I'm Hispanic, and we tend to have a good time celebrating pretty much anything or maybe its because I'm Catholic and God designed this world and all of creation to bring us so much joy, but today, I choose to celebrate. For the next 3 months I will be celebrating. I have been blessed with the opportunity to celebrate the life changing moments of people around the country. I have no idea what is in store, the challenges we will face and the amazing stories we will hear, but I promise on this day I will choose to celebrate each and every moment. The highs and the lows and everything in between will be a source of deep celebration, because honestly, why not?!
